Terry Carnes Sowka

Terry Carnes Sowka is an experienced editor and writer with a diverse background in journalism and communications. Currently serving as a list researcher for the Indianapolis Business Journal since May 2015, Terry compiles and edits over 75 published lists annually, contributing to the publication's unique Book of Lists. In addition, Terry operates Terry Sowka Communications, focusing on book editing and freelance writing, recently editing works including a baseball mystery and memoirs. Previous roles include communications committee member for the Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, communications coordinator for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, and copy editor/writer positions at The Indianapolis Star, Chicago Sun-Times, and The Associated Press. Terry holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Arts in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield.
