Kimberly Maxwell has a strong background in healthcare administration and finance. Kimberly started their career as the Director of Patient Access at HCA from 2002 to 2005. Following that, they worked as the Director of Patient Access at Wishard Health Services from 2005 to 2010. In 2010, they joined Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) as the Chief of Administration and Finance. From 2017 to 2018, they served as the Associate Vice President of Business Development for Care Integration at Eskenazi Health.

Indianapolis EMS is the largest provider of emergency pre-hospital medical care in the state, responding to over 100,000 9-1-1 calls each year. A division of the Indianapolis Department of Public Safety, IEMS is a partnership between the City of Indianapolis, Indiana University School of Medicine, and Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County, with Eskenazi Health as the supervising health system.
