Ian Board

Ian Board is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in firmware and embedded software development, particularly in automotive and communications applications. Currently serving as Principal Firmware Engineer at indie Semiconductor, Ian specializes in firmware development for custom processors, with notable achievements such as creating a Power Delivery stack firmware for automotive applications. Ian's previous roles include Senior Firmware Engineer at Omega Engineering, where a bootloader for an ARM Cortex-M4 based controller was developed, and Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Alcon Research Ltd., focusing on power distribution solutions for surgical microscopes. Ian also held key positions at Tyco Retail Solutions, Intelligent Energy, TelASIC Communications Inc., Raytheon Corporation, Hughes Communications Products, and Northrop Grumman, contributing to advanced communications systems, digital signal processing, and satellite technology.
