Sharon Witruk

Sharon Witruk is an experienced professional in human resources and operations, currently serving as the Director at Canadian Roots Exchange since February 2021. Additionally, Sharon has been an Independent Consultant at Blue HERON since September 2016, specializing in administrative, development, and planning solutions for non-profits with a focus on Indigenous issues and social justice. Previously, Sharon held the position of Senior Manager of Indigenous Collaboration at United Way Toronto and York Region from September 2017 to August 2019, where responsibilities included co-developing an Indigenous Collaboration Framework and enhancing relationships with Indigenous communities. Earlier roles included Training Manager and Justice Initiatives Manager at the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres, with extensive experience in training and capacity building for urban Aboriginal service delivery. Sharon graduated with various qualifications from institutions such as the University of Windsor and George Brown College.
