Cassandra Rowe is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in primate management, animal studies, and Indigenous community work. Cassandra is currently serving as a Non Executive Board Member at SHINE for Kids. Prior to this, they worked as a Community Connector at Indigital Edutech and as a Sessional Tutor at Macquarie University.

In their previous roles, Cassandra worked as an Indigenous mentor and facilitator at ETM Perspectives, contributing to the promotion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation in the Australian Government. Cassandra also founded The rangers of Tangkahan, a platform aimed at supporting forest rangers in North Sumatra.

Cassandra has an extensive background in primate management, having worked as a Managing Director at Cassandra Rowe Primate Management Consulting for over 9 years. Cassandra has worked with various primate species across different continents, gaining expertise in areas such as veterinary nursing, zookeeping, volunteer work, rescue center operations, and documentary-making.

Additionally, Cassandra has contributed to the education sector, working as an Assessor of Animal Studies at TAFE Queensland and as a Trainer and Assessor for Animal Studies and Captive Animals at Open Colleges.

In the past, they also served as the South Australian state representative for the Jane Goodall Institute of Australia and as a Senior Primate Keeper at Zoos South Australia. From 2021 to 2022, Cassandra attended TAFE NSW and completed a Diploma in Aboriginal Studies for Professional and Community Development with a focus on Aboriginal Leadership and Development.

Between 2017 and 2019, Cassandra studied at the Australian College Of Commerce & Management - RTO Code 1441, earning a Diploma in Leadership and Management.

In 2016, Cassandra obtained a Certificate IV in Indigenous Leadership from the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre AILC. The program focused on leadership in the home, community, and professional settings.
