Gijs Klarenbeek

Gijs Klarenbeek has over 15 years of work experience in the medical field. Gijs's career began in 2005 at sanofi-aventis, where they held roles as Medical & Project Manager Diabetes, Marketing Product Manager for different therapeutic domains, and Medical Manager. Gijs then moved to AstraZeneca in 2010 as Therapeutic Area Leader Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Respiratory/Inflammation. In 2011, they began working at Cordis as Medical Director WorldWide Clinical Research at Johnson & Johnson. In 2013, they became Director Medical Affairs, Europe at Boston Scientific. In 2016, they started working at TRIUM Clinical Consulting NV as Consultant Medical Officer and at Syntactx as Consultant Senior Medical Director. In 2017, they began working at Sequana Medical NV as Senior Medical Advisor and Consultant Chief Medical Officer. In 2020, they became VP Clinical Research at Indigo. Finally, in 2022, they joined Synergia Medical as Vice President Clinical Affairs.

Gijs Klarenbeek studied at KU Leuven from 1994 to 2005, where they earned an MD in Surgery. Gijs then attended the Institute for Pharmaceutical Business Administration (IFB) from 2008 to 2009. Gijs also attended St-Hubertus, but it is unclear when or what they studied there.
