Brian Segal is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in quantifying environmental benefits and supporting agricultural sustainability initiatives. Currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Indigo since January 2021, Brian leads a team focused on the Source Rice program and has developed software pipelines for greenhouse gas emission modeling and water usage prediction. Previously, as a Senior Statistician for Indigo's Carbon program, Brian quantified uncertainty in carbon credit estimates and mentored team members. Prior roles include Senior Quantitative Scientist and Quantitative Scientist at Flatiron Health, where Brian was instrumental in advancing cancer research using electronic health records.
