Noubar Afeyan

Noubar Afeyan is the Founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering, a biotechnology company established in 2000 that has initiated over 100 scientific ventures generating more than $90 billion in value. In addition to leadership at Flagship, Noubar Afeyan co-founded and serves as Chairman of Moderna Therapeutics, Generate Biomedicines, Apriori Bio, and Ampersand Biomedicines, along with roles as Co-Founder and Board Member for Tessera Therapeutics and Indigo. Afeyan holds a significant position as a Member of the Executive Committee at the MIT Corporation. As a co-Founder and Board Member of the Aurora Prize, Afeyan contributes to humanitarian efforts recognizing individuals who courageously protect and advance human life. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Chemical Engineering from McGill University.
