Ruben Mergui

Senior AI Computer Vision Engineer at Indoor Robotics

Ruben Mergui has had a diverse range of work experiences, starting in 2013 as an intern for Golan Telecom Ltd. and subsequently working as an assistant CTO for Checkmarx in 2014. In 2015, Ruben worked as an Antenna Lab Intern for MTI Wireless Edge Ltd. In 2016, Ruben started working for General Motors as a Research Engineer for the RnD UX Team, before moving on to become an Algorithm Engineer for In Cabin Perception Team. In the same year, Ruben was an R&D intern for the Perceptual Computing Group at Intel Corporation. In 2022, Ruben started working for Indoor Robotics as a Senior AI Computer Vision Engineer with a focus on detection and alert triggering using deep learning and classical computer vision algorithms.

Ruben Mergui has an extensive education history, starting in 2009 when they studied Mathematics and Physics at Lycée Janson de Sailly. From there they moved on to Lycée Stanislas in 2011 to continue their studies in Mathematics and Physics. In 2012 they attended CentraleSupélec where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. In 2013 they returned to CentraleSupélec to pursue a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a major in Electromagnetism and Telecommunications. In 2014, while still working towards their previous degree, they also earned a Master of Science in Components and Antennas for Telecommunications from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI). From 2015 to 2016, they participated in a Data Science and Cyber Security fellowship at Israel Tech Challenge. In 2018 Ruben Mergui earned a Deep Learning Specialization certification from Coursera.
