Cheng-Huan Zhong

CTO and Director at Inductosense

Cheng-Huan Zhong has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Research Intern at the University of Bristol. In 2010, they took on the roles of Teaching Assistant and Research Intern at the same institution, where they demonstrated Matlab and assisted with the development of an Inertia Measurement Unit (IMU) and robotics arm. In 2012, Cheng-Huan Zhong became a Consultant for Ultrasonics and NDT group & NNL, conducting a feasibility study on using ultrasonic phased arrays to inspect external corrosion of evaporator tubes. Cheng-Huan received positive feedback from the project investigator and the possibility of future collaborations. In 2013, they became a Postdoctor at the University of Bristol and also served as the Project Coordinator for the university's Open Day, overseeing the ultrasounds stall. Cheng-Huan successfully managed the design and organization of the exhibition. Cheng-Huan Zhong went on to work as a Project Manager at Ultrasonics and NDT group in 2014, where they were responsible for system design, hardware building, and team management for a demonstration at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition. Cheng-Huan later became a Consultant for Ultrasonics and NDT group & Ultrasonic Science, providing specialized consultancy in piezoelectric transducer modeling. Finally, in 2015, they joined Inductosense as the CTO and Director.

Cheng-Huan Zhong pursued their education starting in 2007 when they enrolled at the University of Bristol for their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Cheng-Huan completed this program in 2010. Following this, Cheng-Huan Zhong furthered their education by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Ultrasonic and Non-Destructive Testing at the same university. Cheng-Huan successfully completed their Ph.D. in 2014.
