David Jarvis

David Jarvis is an experienced executive with a robust background in strategy formulation and implementation across various sectors. Currently serving as the Divisional Executive for Strategy and Corporate Affairs at the Industrial Development Corporation since July 2013, David has held multiple leadership roles, including Interim CEO, where responsibilities included overseeing operations during leadership transitions and driving innovation in corporate strategy. Prior experience includes serving as General Manager of Strategy at the Development Bank of Southern Africa, where David developed long-term strategies and managed stakeholder relationships. David's earlier roles included research and strategy positions at the Department of Trade and Industry and the National Labour and Economic Development Institute. David holds a Master's degree in Industrial Organisational and Labour Studies from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
