Sam Douglass

Sam Douglass is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Industrial Electric Mfg. since March 2021, focusing on the design and enhancement of small panels and switchboards using Solidworks while assisting in assembly management. Prior experience includes a role as Design Engineer at CityLift Parking from January 2020 to February 2021, where Sam designed parts for mechanical parking systems, managed extensive Solidworks assemblies, contributed to prototype system design, ensured quality assurance for construction drawings, and organized bill of materials. As an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Washington from March 2018 to June 2019, Sam co-authored a research paper on fiber composite structures and produced composite chips. Sam also led the Advanced Composite Structures Team at the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion from October 2017 to June 2019, achieving first place in the 2019 Spaceport America Cup with a rocket featuring personal designs. Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Washington, earned in 2019.
