Gal Roiter

Gal Roiter is an accomplished lighting professional with extensive experience in the visual effects and animation industry. Currently serving as a Lighting Supervisor at Industrial Light & Magic since April 2023, Gal has contributed to notable projects including "Sonic the Hedgehog 3" and "Wicked." Prior to this, Gal worked at Sony Pictures Imageworks for over seven years, holding the position of Senior/Lead Lighting Technical Director and leading efforts on critically acclaimed films such as "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse - Part One" and "Vivo." Other notable roles include Lighting Technical Director at Weta Digital, where Gal contributed to "The Hobbit" series and "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," and Lead Lighting Technical Director at Double Negative on major films like "Skyfall." Gal holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from the Savannah College of Art and Design, completed in 2006.
