Gary Thompson

Gary Thompson serves as the Director of Physical and Post Production Technology at Industrial Light & Magic / Lucasfilm since January 2015, overseeing the media engineering department and the global color team. Prior experience includes an Engineering Consultant role at Blendo Inc. from October 2012 to January 2015, and as VP of Engineering at EFILM from 2002 to August 2012, where Gary managed a technical staff and developed unique remote infrastructures. Previous positions include Chief Engineer at Method Studios, Senior Systems Engineer at Pacific Ocean Post, and various engineering roles spanning over a decade in notable post-production facilities. Gary Thompson holds an education from North Sydney Institute of Technology, completed between 1980 and 1983.
