Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith is an experienced play-by-play announcer and educator, currently serving as the play-by-play announcer for the Indy Fuel Hockey Club since 2014, alongside roles as a teacher and coach at New Palestine High School since 2006. Additionally, Smith functions as a statistician for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and owns CrossCom Sports Network, providing play-by-play broadcasts of high school sports events. With a background in communications, Smith has held various positions including Director of Communications for the Libertarian Party of Indiana and for a U.S. Senate campaign. Smith's freelance journalism includes contributions to several publications and an authored book on Indianapolis hockey. Educational qualifications include a B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington, a Master's in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University, and a Master's in Applied Economics from Southern New Hampshire University.
