Carrie Cline Black has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and media. Starting in 1995, they worked as an Anchor/Reporter for KFVS-TV and later became an Anchor/Reporter for WSAZ-TV in 1999. During their time at WSAZ-TV, they also initiated a program called "Carrie's Kids" that focused on foster children seeking adoption. In 2013, they joined WTHR as a Reporter/Anchor, where they covered breaking news, produced special reports, and engaged viewers through social media. Carrie then transitioned to Indianapolis Public Schools in 2017, initially as a Media Relations Coordinator and later as a Communications Manager. Carrie managed communications, public relations, and media relations for the school district. Currently, Carrie serves as the Director of Communications for IndyGo, Indiana's largest public transportation agency. Their responsibilities include managing media relations, social media, website, advertising, and internal and external communications. Carrie is also the agency spokesperson. Additionally, Carrie worked independently as a Health and Fitness Coach for Beachbody, offering free coaching on fitness and nutrition programs.
Carrie Cline Black graduated from Francis Howell North High School in 1991, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Afterward, they attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1991 to 1995, earning a Bachelor of Journalism degree with a focus on broadcast journalism.
