Lucas da Silva

Lucas da Silva is an accomplished academic and editor in the field of mechanical engineering, currently serving as Editor-in-Chief for several prestigious journals, including the International Journal of Mechanical Engineering Education and Discover Mechanical Engineering. With a robust academic background, Lucas holds a PhD from the University of Bristol and multiple degrees from the University of Porto, where a full professorship is also held. In addition to editorial roles, Lucas is the Director of the Integrated Master in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Porto and leads the Advanced Joining Processes Unit at INEGI Porto. Leadership extends to the Portuguese Adhesion Society as President since 2012. Experience includes past positions as Associate Professor and involvement with various publishing companies such as SAGE Publishing, De Gruyter Brill, and Taylor & Francis Group.
