Bernardo Pereira is a highly experienced medical doctor specializing in Intensive Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Currently serving as an MD at the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital de Cascais since June 2016, Bernardo is also involved with INEM as part of the Emergency Medicine Helicopter team and the Prehospital Emergency Medical Team across various locations. As an instructor at Escola Superior de Saúde da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa since 2021, Bernardo teaches advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS). Previous roles include working in medical oncology and intensive care at the Champalimaud Foundation and leading a domiciliary palliative care team at Nossa Senhora Do Rosario. Bernardo holds advanced degrees in Palliative Care from the University of Lisbon and Integrated Medicine from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and received foundational education at Lycée Français Charles-Lepierre.
