John Niven

John Niven is an accomplished Construction Manager with extensive experience in the petrochemical industry, primarily at INEOS since October 2017, overseeing the NEP Project at Grangemouth, which aims to ensure long-term steam supply and facility viability. Prior roles include managing the Ethane Import Facility Project, where John addressed declining feedstock issues and implemented a storage facility for U.S. shale gas ethane. Previously, John's work at INEOS involved leading construction initiatives and developing critical protocols for turnaround projects. Early career roles at BP included Contracts Manager and Mechanical Engineer, managing significant decommissioning budgets and ensuring compliance with maintenance contracts. John holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical & Electronic Engineering from Glasgow Caledonian University and an HNC in Plant Engineering from Falkirk College of Technology.
