Arlindo Oliveira

Arlindo Oliveira is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in electrical engineering and computer science. Serving as a Distinguished Professor at Instituto Superior Técnico since January 1995, Arlindo has held multiple leadership roles including President and Vice President. Currently, Arlindo is a Distinguished Invited Professor at Macau University of Science and Technology. In addition to academic positions, Arlindo has been active in various organizations such as INESC and CAIXA GERAL DE DEPOSITOS, S.A., where Arlindo holds board member roles. Arlindo's research contributions have been recognized globally, including visiting positions at The University of Tokyo and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Arlindo's educational background includes a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, alongside postgraduate credentials in risk management from INSEAD.
