Helen Smith

Helen Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advocacy and campaign coordination within the nonprofit sector. Currently serving as Senior Advocacy Coordinator at the Infectious Diseases Society of America since October 2021, Helen has previously played a pivotal role as U.S. Campaign Coordinator for the 100 Million Campaign at the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation. Additional experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Peacebuilding Solutions and various leadership positions at Kennesaw State University, where contributions included consulting students and managing events for Model United Nations conferences. Helen has further honed research skills at the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics & Character and gained operational experience as Operations Intern at DCCC in Washington, DC. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government and a Graduate Certificate in National Security and Public Policy from George Mason University.
