David Garrod

David advises infima on intellectual property and related legal matters. Dave brings thirty years of experience in IP. He began his career at Pennie & Edmonds in NYC and later joined Goodwin Procter's NY office. He is a licensed patent attorney, experienced in patent procurement, litigation, licensing, counseling and portfolio management. He has held positions in several publicly traded tech companies as well as several startups. Most recently, he served as General Counsel of Voci Technologies, a Pittsburgh-based ASR startup, where he helped lead the company through several funding rounds and an eventual acquisition by Medallia (NASD: MDLA).

David holds a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon and a JD from Fordham.
