Sonja Burfeind

Sonja Burfeind is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications and media relations. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic Communications and Senior Director at Infineon Technologies since June 2019, Sonja has previously held several senior roles at the company, including Director of Strategic Communications and Senior Manager of Corporate Communications. Prior to Infineon, Sonja worked at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE as a Senior Communications Manager and at Emanate GmbH as Director and Vice President, providing strategic consultancy for various industries. Additionally, Sonja has a strong foundation from Ketchum Public Relations, where titles included Account Supervisor/VP, and at Weight Watchers Germany as Manager of Media Relations. Sonja's award-winning campaigns include notable achievements such as the Sabre Awards in 2007 and multiple accolades for Barbie's 50th anniversary celebration. Sonja holds a Master of Arts degree in Communications, German Literature, and Politics from Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg, obtained in 2002.
