Miika Karjomaa

Miika Karjomaa has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Process Development Engineer at Infinited Fiber Company since 2022. Prior to that, they worked for Fermion Oy from 2016 to 2022, where they held the position of Research and Development Chemist. Their responsibilities included API manufacturing process safety studies, process optimization for scale up, and compilation of information for filing new active pharmaceutical ingredients. Miika also worked as a Summer Trainee at Fermion Oy in 2016, focusing on process parameter optimization and synthesis of organic impurities. Before their time at Fermion Oy, Miika was a Degree student at Aalto University School of Chemical Technology from 2010 to 2016. Miika also worked as a Summer Trainee at Fermion Oy in 2015 and as a Paint Production Worker at Tikkurila Oyj in 2013 and 2012.

Miika Karjomaa completed their high school education at Mattlidens Gymnasium from 2006 to 2009, earning an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Miika then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree at Aalto University School of Chemical Technology from 2010 to 2014, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Bio- and Food Engineering. During their Bachelor's studies, Miika also participated in the Young Scientist Exchange Program (YSEP) at Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2014, with a focus on Organic Chemistry. After completing their Bachelor's degree, Miika continued their education at Aalto University School of Chemical Technology and obtained an Engineer's Degree in Chemistry from 2013 to 2015.
