Jenny Scapens

Jenny Scapens has a diverse range of work experience spanning several industries. Jenny began their career at CERN as a Software Developer and Engineering Surveyor, where they worked on various physics experiments and developed in-house software. Jenny then worked as an Honorary Research Assistant at The University of Manchester before joining BT as a GIS Developer/Analyst. At BT, they eventually moved into the role of GIS Strategy/Evolution Manager, where they were responsible for GIS, statistical analysis, and application development. After their time at BT, Jenny joined Thús as a Senior Geo-Commercial Analyst, where their main focus was incorporating Geo-analysis into commercial practices. Most recently, they have been working as the CIO at Infinity SDC, a leading data centre operator. In this role, they oversee the design, build, and management of efficient data centre facilities.

Jenny Scapens earned a Bachelor's Degree in Geography from Durham University from 1991 to 1994. Jenny then pursued a Master's Degree in Land/Engineering Surveying at UCL from 1994 to 1995. Later on, they pursued another Master's Degree in Military Operational Research, specifically a PGCert, at the University of Cranfield - RMCS at Shrivenham from 2004 to 2005.
