Austin Belknap

Austin Belknap has a work experience that spans several years and roles. Austin started their career as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2010 to 2015. Austin then worked as a Software Developer at Epic from 2016 to 2017. After that, they joined Google as a Software Engineer III from 2017 to 2020. Finally, they are currently employed at ColdQuanta as a Senior Software Engineer since 2020.

Austin Belknap completed their education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Elementary Particle Physics from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Rice University from 2006 to 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics. In addition to their academic qualifications, Austin has obtained several certifications including KISS Helitrox Decompression Diver from International Training - SDI ~ TDI ~ PFI ~ ERDI ~ First Response Training in October 2022, Rescue Diver from PADI in June 2022, Rebreather Intro to Cave Diver from SDI TDI ERDI in February 2022, KISS CCR Air Diluent Diver from SDI TDI ERDI in May 2021, Aikido Shodan (1st degree black belt) from Aikikai Foundation in January 2020, and Open Water Diver from PADI in February 2000.
