David R. Smith has a diverse and extensive work experience. David R. currently serves as the President and CEO of Influents Innovations, a company focused on developing evidence-based products and services for the healthcare, social services, and education markets. Prior to that, they held the same role at Oregon Research Behavioral Intervention Strategies. David R. has also worked as a Principal Innovation Strategist and Consultant at Dural Innovation, and as a Senior Technology and Innovation Strategist at Philips Group Innovation. David R. spent a significant portion of their career at Hewlett-Packard, where they held various roles such as Senior Design Strategist, Senior Technology Strategist, R&D Futures Manager/CTO, Manager of Architecture Strategy, R&D Manager, and Senior Human Factors Engineer. Their work at HP involved driving strategic technology initiatives, generating visions for new product offerings, and leading architectural and web-based technology evaluations.
David R. Smith holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, which they completed between 1986 and 1991. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Cognitive Science from the University of Rochester, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. In 1999, they attended Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management for a brief period, focusing on Technology Management. David also possesses a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
