Karolina Pondel-Sycz

Karolina Pondel-Sycz is a Research and Teaching Assistant at Politechnika Warszawska, specializing in acoustics and emerging technologies, with research interests in speech acoustics, artificial intelligence, and emotion recognition. Karolina is involved in a project under the INFOSTRATEG IV grant focused on intelligent speech processing systems for medical professionals, and also owns a consultancy that emphasizes research on Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), education in programming, and science communication. With experience as a freelance journalist hosting science podcasts and previous roles as a programming teacher, Karolina has built a diverse background in research, education, and media, supported by a strong academic foundation that includes ongoing doctoral studies in Technical Computer Science and Telecommunications at Warsaw University of Technology.
