Camille Mendler has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently, they are the Chief Analyst of Enterprise Services at Omdia since February 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Analyst of Ovum at Informa Tech starting from May 2019. From July 2014 to April 2019, Mendler worked at Ovum as a Lead Analyst and Practice Leader in the Enterprise Services group. Camille successfully launched and managed the SoHo and SME team, consistently surpassing financial targets. Mendler was also the Principal Analyst and Head of Enterprise Verticals at Informa from January 2011 to June 2014. During this time, they built annuity and consultancy revenues from zero to over $1 million, leading to a merger with Ovum. Before joining Informa, Mendler held various positions at The Yankee Group, including Vice President of Global Service Strategies and Vice President of Telecom Strategies EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. At Dynegy, they served as the Director of Business Development and Strategic Marketing, overseeing the acquisition of dark fiber and colocation assets. Mendler started their career as a Senior Editor at Ascential, where they gained experience in technology journalism. Camille also worked as a Telecommunications Consultant at the International Science Foundation, contributing to the establishment of the first direct Internet connection between Washington and Moscow. Mendler began their professional journey as a Staff Writer for Personal Computer Magazine at Incisive Media.
Camille Mendler attended Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres from 1973 to 1985. This school is a bilingual institution overseen by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Camille then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Journalism at Northwestern University from 1985 to 1989, studying at the Medill School of Journalism. In 1991, Camille enrolled in the Russian Area Studies Master's Program (now CERES) at Georgetown University, part of the Walsh School of Foreign Service. Camille completed this program in 1993. Additionally, in 1992, they participated in a Russian language and cultural immersion course at Moscow State Linguistic University.
