Zarko Milosevic

CTO at Informal Systems

Zarko Milosevic has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Zarko is currently working at Informal Systems as the CTO, a position they assumed in January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Scientist at Informal Systems from January 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining Informal Systems, Zarko worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Interchain Foundation from November 2018 to January 2020. Zarko'sresponsibilities included research and development of Tendermint and Cosmos.

Zarko also has experience in academia, having worked as an Assistant Professor at Singidunum University from August 2017 to January 2020. Additionally, they held the position of Research Scientist at Tendermint from September 2017 to November 2018.

Earlier in their career, Zarko worked as a Software Engineer at SICPA from April 2015 to August 2017. Zarko also served as a Software Engineer at Crossing-Tech from November 2013 to April 2015.

Zarko's career began as a PhD student at EPFL in 2007, where they focused on the design and implementation of efficient replication protocols. Zarko'stenure at EPFL extended until November 2013. Prior to their doctoral studies, Zarko gained professional experience as an intern at RCUB from February 2006 to August 2006.

Zarko Milosevic's education history begins in 2001 when they enrolled at the University of Belgrade. Zarko completed a five-year program and earned a degree as a Graduate Engineer in Computer Science in 2006.

Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne).

After completing their Master's degree, they continued their academic journey at EPFL and embarked on a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Distributed and Fault Tolerant Systems from 2008 to 2013.

Therefore, Zarko Milosevic obtained a Graduate Engineer degree from the University of Belgrade, a Master of Science degree from EPFL, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from EPFL, with their specialization in Distributed and Fault Tolerant Systems.
