Chantal Bernier

Chantal Bernier is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as Counsel at Dentons since October 2014 and as President of the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime since August 2010, where oversight of management and strategic direction is a key responsibility. In addition to these roles, Chantal has held positions as a Fellow at the Information Accountability Foundation, a Member of Council at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a Senior Fellow at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa. Chantal's extensive experience also includes a prior role as the Assistant and Interim Privacy Commissioner of Canada from November 2008 to June 2014 and leadership positions at Public Safety Canada and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada. Chantal holds an LL.M in International Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science and an LL.B in Law from Université de Sherbrooke.
