Research Associate | EMBO Postdoctoral Fellow at European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI

Marc-Antoine Jacques is a Research Associate and EMBO Postdoctoral Fellow at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since April 2022, specializing in inferring unobservable developmental trajectories through single-cell omics across multiple species. Concurrently, Marc-Antoine holds a similar position at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. Prior experience includes a PhD at the University of Bern, where Marc-Antoine applied and advanced machine learning methods to analyze complex signaling dynamics from single-cell microscopy, and involvement in several projects related to biological time-series analysis, transcriptomics, and gene function data. Marc-Antoine's education includes a PhD in Computational Biology and Master's degrees in Bioinformatics, Cell Physics, and Biotechnology from prestigious institutions, complemented by internships focused on gene detection and plant growth modeling.
