Rui Pereira

Rui Pereira has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rui started their career as a Software Developer at the University of Minho in 1998. Rui then worked as a Software Developer at Porto Editora from 1999 to 2004. Following that, Rui joined ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. in 2004 and held various roles including Software Developer, Middleware Technical Leader, and R&D Project Manager until 2011. After that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at EBI from 2011 to 2014. In 2016, Rui joined Becker Professional Education as a Business Development Consultant and stayed until 2017. In 2012, they co-founded Zizabi and has been with the company since then. Most recently, Rui worked at Information Factory as a Senior Software Engineer from 2018 until 2020, when they were promoted to the position of Managing Director.

Rui Pereira attended the Universidade do Minho from 1994 to 1999, where they studied Mathematics and Computer Science. Rui did not obtain a specific degree during this time. In addition to their university education, Rui obtained two certifications: the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute in May 2009 and the HL7 version 2.5 Control Specialist certification from Health Level Seven International in October 2006.
