Chris Babcock

Chris Babcock is a Consulting Fellow at Information Systems of Maryland. Chris previously served as the Director of Information Technology at MetaCoastal, LLC from February 2014 to June 2021. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring the Information Technology Department’s operations are aligned with the business objectives of the enterprise. Chris also managed resources and processes required to design, plan, and support all system products and services. Additionally, they were responsible for researching and evaluating new technology in order to provide recommendations for future enhancements and/or upgrades.

Prior to their role at MetaCoastal, LLC, Chris served as the Vice President - IT Infrastructure and Support at Carr Workplaces from April 2013 to February 2014. In this role, they were responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Technology department, including analyzing effectiveness, problem resolution, customer service, vendor management and team supervision. Chris also served as a Director of Information Technology at FutureCare Health and Management from October 2001 to November 2012.

Chris has extensive experience in the field of information technology and has held multiple leadership positions throughout their career. Chris is a hands-on leader and wears multiple hats such as Manager, Mentor, Trainer, Engineer, Tech Support, Customer Service, Telecommunications Expert, Server/Network Architect, etc. Chris is highly skilled in resource planning and management and has a proven track record in successfully leading teams and initiatives.

Chris Babcock has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Management and Operations from Clarkson University. Chris also has certification from Microsoft in MCSE.
