Alexander Nguyen

Alexander Nguyen has three years of work experience. Alexander started in 2021 as a Solutions Engineer at Informed.IQ. From 2019 to 2021, they also worked on Personal Projects as a Software Engineer, where they optimized a legacy Javascript codebase of Coursera to scale into production level site traffic. Alexander achieved a max throughput on loader.io of 3500 RPS from 500 RPS (700% increase) while reducing latency from 1761ms to 19ms (99% reduction) with an error rate of less than 1%. Alexander also utilized horizontal scaling by scaling service into 5 t2.micro instances with AWS and implementing a round-robin NGINX load balancer directly in the Ubuntu consoles. Additionally, they migrated an inherited Mongo database to PostgreSQL and refactored CRUD routes to reduce database queries to < 1s from 40s (97%). Alexander also worked on a Rentals Booking System with React Express MongoDB Docker AWS. From 2019 to 2021, they also worked at LinkedIn as a Sales Process Analyst.

Alexander Nguyen obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis between 2015 and 2017. In August 2017, they obtained an Accident Life and Health certification from the California Department of Insurance. In September 2021, they obtained a Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere certification from Coursera. Alexander has also obtained Series 66 and Series 7 certifications from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority).
