Matt Miller has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps and systems engineering. Matt began their career in 1997 as the owner of RMS Audio, specializing in home theater and automation. From 2000 to 2005, they worked as the Carrier Relations Manager and Network Engineer at Atlantic.Net Inc., where they played a crucial role in developing broadband CLEC operations and maintaining carrier relationships.
In 2005, Matt joined Cox Communications as a Broadband Engineer III, responsible for installing and configuring video, telephone, and data equipment. Matt also led the launch of Cox Digital Telephone and established colocations and interconnections with other telecom companies.
Matt then moved on to the University of Florida in 2012, where they worked as a Systems Engineer III in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Here, they developed and maintained cloud-based systems and applications, collaborating with faculty members and other universities to enhance applications.
Since 2013, Matt has been with Infotech, starting as a Senior DevOps Engineer and later becoming the Senior Lead DevOps Engineer. In this role, they managed the DevOps team, provided technical direction and guidance for infrastructure and application deployments, and optimized performance and reliability by migrating to AWS. Matt also implemented infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform, improving consistency, security, and speed.
