Girish Shilamkar

Girish Shilamkar has over 18 years of experience in the technology industry. Girish began their career in 2002 as an Intern for B.E./T.E. Project, working on CarbonFS, a massively scalable data-metadata distributed filesystem based on Content Adress Storage (CAS) for Write Once Read Many (WORM) type of data. In 2005, they joined LinSysSoft Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked on enhancement and maintenance of GDB and GCC for a Embedded System Linux Distribution, and development of ldiskfs (ext3 based filesystem for Lustre) and e2fsprogs for ClustreFS Inc. In 2007, they joined SUN Microsystems India Pvt. Ltd. as a Member of Technical Staff, where they designed and developed features for backend of Lustre i. e. ext3/ext4. In 2011, they moved to Oracle as a Sr. Software Engineer. In 2013, they joined The Apache Software Foundation as a Committer for Apache Cloudstack. In 2014, they joined MSys Technologies LLC as Technical Director. In 2016, they founded InfraCloud Technologies, where they serve as Founder & Chief Executive Officer. At InfraCloud, they specialize in Kubernetes Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Orchestration, Cloud Native Applications, Containerization, Container Orchestration, Datacenter Automation, Infrastructure Automation, Microservices Architectures, Application Orchestration, Continuous Delivery/Integration of Applications & Infrastructure, and QA Services.

Girish Shilamkar completed a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the Vishwakarma Institute of Technology between 2002 and 2005. Girish is currently enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Public Policy (GCPP) program at The Takshashila Institute, with no end date specified.
