Filipe Gonçalves

Filipe Gonçalves has a strong background in engineering, with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Filipe is currently working at Infraspeak as an Engineering Manager, leading and overseeing two teams of software developers. Filipe'sresponsibilities include providing clear direction, managing expectations, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring timely delivery.

Prior to their current role, Filipe worked at BySide as an Engineering Team Lead, leading a multidisciplinary team responsible for one domain of the Infraspeak Web Application. Filipe mentored and helped grow the software engineering team, assured the Sprint ceremonies, and acted as a contact point for relevant stakeholders.

Before that, at BySide, Filipe was a Senior Backend Engineer, responsible for developing new features and maintaining a monolithic application built in PHP. Filipe worked with technologies such as PHP (Laravel), PostgreSQL, and Memcache. Filipe also achieved learning a new framework, Laravel, and implemented Jira Automations using Gitlab API.

Filipe's previous experience includes working at Hostelworld Group as a Software Engineer API, where they upgraded existing APIs and worked on A/B implementations for new feature previews. Filipe utilized technologies such as PHP (Silex/Symfony), MySQL, and Redis.

Additionally, Filipe has experience as a Full Stack Developer at BySide and Facestore, where they worked on various development and maintenance tasks using technologies such as PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Filipe Gonçalves pursued their undergraduate education from 2007 to 2013 at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, where they obtained a degree in Engenharia de Redes e Sistemas Informáticos with a specialization in Ciência da Computação.

In addition to their formal education, Filipe has acquired several certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. These include the ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) from ICAgile, obtained in June 2022, the Google Project Management: Specialization from Google, obtained in January 2022, and the Agile Fundamentals certification from Pluralsight, obtained in December 2021. Furthermore, Filipe completed the Agile for Digital Projects Workshop (16h) offered by EDIT. - Disruptive Digital Education in January 2016 and the Web Development course from Udacity in November 2012.
