M.D. Serajul Hossain

Md. Serajul Hossain has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles in the renewable energy sector. Md. Serajul started their career in 2010 as a Principal Officer (Credit Analyst) at Dhaka Bank Limited, where they worked until 2013. Md. Serajul then joined HBL - Habib Bank Limited as a Relationship Manager, where they worked until 2015. In 2015, they joined Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) as an Assistant Vice President & Head (SHS Program - Renewable Energy) and was later promoted to Vice President & Head (SHS Program - Renewable Energy), where they led the flagship Solar Home System (SHS) Program, the largest national program in the world for off-grid electrification. Md. Serajul also took on the role of Senior Vice President (Renewable Energy) at IDCOL in 2021, where they are responsible for providing business entities with one-stop solution for industrial rooftop solar projects and managing credit lines with various Development Financial Institution (DFIs). Throughout their career, Md. Serajul Hossain has demonstrated expertise in project finance, project management, and developing business relations with stakeholders.

Md. Serajul Hossain completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Leather Products Technology from the University of Dhaka, graduating between 1999 and 2006.
