Amar Singh

Executive Vice President - Commercial Advisory & Strategy at Infrastructure Ontario

Amar Singh has extensive work experience in various roles in the public sector. Amar began their career in 2003 at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, where they held positions as a Project Coordinator, Business Consultant, and Analyst. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a Manager in Performance Management and Economic Modeling at the same ministry.

In 2009, Amar joined the Ontario Ministry of the Environment as a Project Manager in the Economic Modeling and Analysis Group. Amar then moved to the Ontario Ministry of Finance in 2011, where they worked as a Special Advisor in the Program Review Secretariat.

Since 2011, Amar has been employed at Infrastructure Ontario, starting as a Manager in New Partnerships and later transitioning to become a Manager in Asset Optimization. Amar held roles as a Senior Manager, Vice President, and Senior Vice President before assuming their current role as the Executive Vice President for Commercial Advisory and Strategy.

Throughout their career, Amar has showcased their expertise in project management, performance management, and economic modeling while working for various government departments and agencies.

Amar Singh earned a B.Comm degree in IT Management with a minor in Marketing from Ryerson University in 2004. In 2007, they pursued an MBA specializing in Accounting and Strategic Management from Wilfrid Laurier University, which they completed in 2010. During this time, they also obtained a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Society of Certified Management Accountants in 2010. Prior to their MBA, from 2008 to 2010, they also studied Management Accounting at CMA - The Society of Management Accountants of Canada.
