Valentina Gasparo

Valentina Gasparo has a diverse work experience in risk management and credit risk across various companies. Valentina currently holds the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at ING Italia, a role they assumed in June 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Retail Credit Risk and Risk Modelling at ING Italia from September 2020 to June 2023. From September 2016 to September 2020, they were the Head of Retail & SME Credit Risk at ING Italia.

Before joining ING Italia, Valentina worked at Deutsche Bank Italia as a Risk Manager in Credit Risk Management from September 2014 to September 2016. At Deutsche Bank, they were an Executive Assistant to the Chief Credit Officer Retail and Chief Risk Officer Germany/Co-Head Model Risk from August 2013 to September 2014. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Portfolio Strategy and Analysis - Credit Risk Management at Deutsche Bank Italia from July 2011 to July 2013. Valentina also worked as a Credit Analyst in the SMEs segment from September 2009 to August 2011. Valentina started their career in 2008 with Deutsche Bank Italia's Graduate Program, specifically in Risk Management.

Valentina's earlier work experiences include roles as a Listing and Legal Affair Analyst at Borsa Italiana from August 2007 to May 2008 and as a Financial Planning Intern at Studio Legale Birindelli e Associati - Shanghai from March 2007 to June 2007.

Valentina Gasparo completed their Master of Science degree in Law and Business Administration from Università Bocconi from 2002 to 2008. In 2006, they briefly attended UNSW for a Business degree. In 2003, they attended Erasmus University Rotterdam for studies in Business. Currently, they are enrolled in a Risk Management in Banking Programme at INSEAD since 2019. Additionally, Valentina Gasparo obtained the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor - Information Security Certification from AICQ SICEV in 2021.
