Farzam Fanitabasi

Farzam Fanitabasi is a highly skilled data scientist with extensive experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and information technology engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Philip Morris International since March 2022, Farzam leads NLP initiatives as both a subject matter expert and technical lead. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Researcher in Applied NLP at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where research focused on infrastructure development for handling multilingual text data, and a Scientific Researcher during a PhD at ETH Zürich, concentrating on decentralized multi-agent systems for smart grid applications. Farzam also has experience in fog computing research at TU Delft and significant academic involvement at Sharif University of Technology, where various teaching roles were undertaken. Farzam holds a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zürich and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Information Technology Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and Azad University of Parand, respectively.
