Karlijn Schipper

Karlijn Schipper is a data scientist at ING since July 2023, responsible for designing, maintaining, and automating data science initiatives to support customers in financial decision-making and to enhance the organization's data-driven practices. Prior to this role, Karlijn worked as a machine learning engineer at BigData Republic from August 2021 to June 2023, where notable achievements included developing a predictive machine learning tool for day-ahead energy prices and an incident prevention tool for Prorail. Between February 2017 and July 2021, Karlijn served as a senior business intelligence specialist at Van Lanschot Kempen, focusing on analytical and reporting databases in the Azure cloud and creating Power BI reports for the Netherlands and Belgium. Earlier experience includes roles at The Offshore Partners BV, Mediabrands Marketing Sciences, Qloud Connect Foundation, and MeyerMonitor. Karlijn holds a master's degree in Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam and a bachelor's degree in Econometrie from the same institution.
