Michael Rich

Michael Rich has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Michael started their career as a Sales Manager at Maple Systems Ltd, where they successfully increased sales revenues and implemented a CRM sales system. Michael then worked as an Account Manager at P & P / GE Capital IT Solutions, managing a portfolio of blue-chip clients and delivering annual sales of around £20 million.

After that, Michael served as an Account Manager at Lynx Technologies and as the UK IT Manager at ISS Facility Services A/S, where they aligned and delivered the UK IT strategy in line with business goals. Michael also led the successful implementation of transition and transformation programs and managed outsourced contracts.

Michael later founded Rich IT Management Ltd, where they worked as a UK Project Manager and Interim CEO. Michael delivered various projects in both the public and private sectors, achieving cost savings and building strong relationships between delivery teams.

In 2012, Michael joined SSE plc as a Snr IT Project Manager / Programme Manager. Michael was responsible for delivering multiple mainframe and e-commerce application development projects across the SSE Portfolio.

Most recently, Michael joined Ingenica Solutions as the Director of Operations, Development, and Service Delivery, further expanding their leadership responsibilities.

Michael Rich has a diverse education history. Michael first attended Oswestry Grammar School from 1979 to 1981. After completing their secondary education, they went on to North Warwickshire College in 1992, where they studied City & Guilds 424 Cobol Programming. Michael then pursued further education in the field of IT Service Management, completing a Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management at ITIL in 2006.

In regards to project and program management, Michael attended APMG from 2009 to 2019. During this time, they obtained a PRINCE2 degree in Project Management, becoming an AMPG Prince2 Registered Practitioner in 2009. Additionally, they obtained a Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) degree in Programme Management from APMG in the years 2013 to 2018. Michael also became an APMG MSP Registered Practitioner at some point.

Overall, Michael Rich has a comprehensive education background in IT programming, IT service management, and project and program management.
