Maria Hernandez has accumulated extensive experience in project management and engineering since 2010. Currently serving as the General Coordinator at Ingeniería Sin Fronteras Argentina since May 2013, Maria also holds a position as a Professor in the Strategic Management of Social Projects Course at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional. Prior roles include Technical Advisor at Construcciones Leon and Junior Designer at Im y asociados. Maria earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires', and has furthered education in sustainable water and sanitation systems through CAF - Banco de desarrollo de América Latina. Additionally, Maria has pursued studies in photography.

Ingeniería Sin Fronteras Argentina es una asociación interdisciplinaria sin fines de lucro, que desde marzo de 2012 tiene por fin investigar, promover, desarrollar e implementar proyectos de ingeniería que permitan mejorar las condiciones de vida de las personas en todo el territorio nacional. En línea con la concepción del desarrollo humano sostenible, nuestra misión es construir alternativas técnicas integrales, con base tecnológica, en conjunto con distintas comunidades vulnerables de nuestro país. Nos proponemos concientizar a la población en general, y a los ingenieros en particular, sobre la necesidad de construir una sociedad más justa y sustentable. --- Engineers Without Borders Argentina is an interdisciplinary not-for-profit organization which, as of its founding in March 2012, aims to research, promote, develop, and implement engineering projects that improve the quality of life of people around the country. In line with the concept of sustainable social development, our mission is to create integrated technical solutions [based on technology] in partnership with various vulnerable communities throughout our country. Our goal is to build awareness, among the population in general and engineers in particular, of the need to build a more just and sustainable society.
