Alex Penev

Alex Penev is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in data engineering and backend development across various roles in multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Ingenovis Health since March 2021, Alex has contributed to technology initiatives in the US healthcare sector. Prior to this, Alex held a similar position at Stella.ai, focusing on backend operations related to job searching solutions. Alex's experience at Qualcomm involved significant roles in data science and software engineering, where complex data challenges were addressed through machine learning and algorithm development. Earlier positions include working as a Research Engineer at Canon R&D, developing machine learning algorithms, and software engineering roles at SMARTS and NICTA. Alex holds a PhD in Information Retrieval and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the University of New South Wales.
