Global Process Development Engineering Lead at Ingevity

John Pocta has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. John began their career at Westvaco as a Co-op, where they conducted computer simulations of Tall Oil refineries. John then worked as a Process Engineer at DuPont and DSM, gaining experience in utilities, production, and process engineering. At DSM, they also had the opportunity to work abroad in the Netherlands as a process engineer. John then joined MeadWestvaco as a Senior Process Engineer before moving to Ingevity, where they held multiple roles. Currently, John is the Global Process Development Engineering Lead at Ingevity, where they collaborate with technical and operational teams to design new processes and improve existing ones. John also focuses on enhancing plant safety, reliability, and cost efficiency through various initiatives.

John Pocta attended the University of Cincinnati from 1985 to 1986, studying Chemical Engineering. John then transferred to the University of South Carolina, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering between 1986 and 1989.
