Ingrid Carney has over 30 years of work experience. Ingrid began their career in 1989 as a Media Planner at Bozell, Jacobs, Kenyon & Eckhardt. Ingrid then moved to McCann Worldgroup in 1992 as a Media Planner. In 1993, they joined J. Walter Thompson Worldwide as a Media Supervisor and was promoted to Partner, Associate Media Director in 1996. In 1996, they also joined CatchTV, Inc. as Director of Marketing and was responsible for creating and launching the story and platform to the cable industry. In 1999, they co-founded Skribo.com and also joined Mediaplex as VP of Marketing, launching an integrated personalized media platform using data to target consumers. In 2002, they founded Ingrid & Isabel, LLC and launched the Bellaband and started a maternity apparel company. Today, Ingrid & Isabel and Isabel Maternity for Target are collectively the leading maternity brands in the US. In 2022, they became a Member of Chief, a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there.

Ingrid Carney attended Marymount International School Rome from 1981 to 1984, where they completed college preparatory courses with a focus on Art History. Ingrid then continued their education at Texas Christian University from 1984 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing and Advertising. In 2023, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business for Executive Education in Finance and Accounting.
