Joy Harris

Joy Harris has extensive experience in various leadership roles in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry. Joy started their career at Covance Clinical Research Unit in 1994, where they held positions as a Statistical Programmer/Statistician and later as a Senior Contracts Associate. Joy then progressed to roles as a Manager of Business Operations and Senior Manager of Client Services & Business Operations at Covance.

In 2008, Joy joined ICON plc, where they held several leadership positions over the years, including Global Director of Client Contract Services, Executive Director of Contracts for various divisions, and Vice President of Projects, Commercialisation and Outcomes Services. Their last role at ICON was Vice President of Procurement.

In addition to their industry experience, Joy has also served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at Ballyfermot Advance Project since 2017.

In 2023, they joined Inizio as the Vice President of Group Commercial Affairs.

Joy Harris has a diverse education history, starting with a BSc (Hons) degree in Probability and Statistics from The University of Sheffield from 1991 to 1994. Joy then pursued a Post Grad Diploma in Medical Statistics and IT from the University of Leicester, which they completed from 1997 to 2000. Following this, Joy obtained an MBA in Business from the University of Bradford from 2005 to 2007. Lastly, they attended University College Dublin in 2014, where they obtained a Certificate in International Business Management.
