Akef Aqrabawi

Akef Aqrabawi has a strong background in non-profit organizations, particularly in the field of youth education and training. Akef started their career at INJAZ Al-Arab in 2005, where they served in various roles, including President & CEO from 2015 onwards. In this role, they directed a team of educational specialists and academics to localize business and financial literacy courses across schools in the Arab World. Akef also developed and implemented strategies for the organization's 14 branches across the region. Prior to becoming President & CEO, Akef was the Deputy Regional Director and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for supporting member nations, improving chapter performance, and managing multiple projects and initiatives. Before joining INJAZ Al-Arab, Akef worked at INJAZ as a Marketing and Communications Director and held other positions in marketing and monitoring and evaluation. Akef also gained experience as a Public Relations Officer for the Office of the Minister at the Jordan Ministry of Water and Irrigation. Overall, Akef's work experience demonstrates their expertise in organizational development, strategic management, and educational initiatives.

Akef Aqrabawi completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education from 2018-2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Archaeology degree with a field of study in Tourism Economics from Mutah University, where they studied from 1994-1998.
